Greece Travel Tips: 1) Wear sturdy shoes! There is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and hiking opportunities. 2) Bring your toilet paper when out and about. Not all restrooms have toilet paper stocked. 3) Bring a travel microfiber washcloth. Most public restrooms do not have hand towels or air dryers. These are lightweight and easy to stash in a day bag. 4) Take a picture of your daily itinerary the night it is posted. It gives you the heads up for the next day and works great for tracking where you were and what you did. 5) You will see that some of the bus rides are 5 hours. Don’t worry ~ they are great at timing those restroom breaks! So have that second cup of coffee and hop on board. 6) Make the most of your bus time. Our guide used bus time to provide us with more history and stories, answer questions, play traditional Greek music CDs and just have down time. Most of use used the down time to check our guidebooks for restaurants, etc. at our next destination. There was also napping involved on some of the longer bus rides. Or really funny selfies… Just one reason to pack those sturdy shoes!
